Beszélsz nyelveken? Vajon kinek mi a titka?

TED FORMS A ROCK BAND

Ted plans to become a successful musician. First, he needs Susan to loan him money for a new guitar. (Period. Full stop. ;) ) Susan suggests that Ted bake cookies to earn the money.

Susan: You're in good spirits today, Ted.
Ted: I've got great news, Mom.
Susan: What is it?
Ted: Amber and I are going to start a rock band!
Susan: Good for you!
Ted: Mom, I'm not going to beat around the bush. I need to borrow $1,000 for a new guitar.
Susan: Ted, your father and I can't shell out that much. We aren't made of money.
Ted: You're not? I thought you were millionaires, like Donald
and Ivana Trump!
Susan: Ha ha. This is no time to be a wise guy!
Ted: I promise I'll pay you back.
Susan: How?
Ted: We're going to take the music world by storm and make lots of money.
Susan: That sounds like a pipe dream. Aren't high school rock bands a dime a dozen?
Ted: Yeah, but we're different. With my guitar playing and Amber's beautiful voice, we're sure to make a splash!
Susan: Well, we're going through hard times. You're going to have to work for that $1,000.
Ted: How?
Susan: You can bake cookies.
Ted: I bet Mrs. Clapton never made Eric bake cookies, but I guess those are the breaks.

Informal review

Dear Miss Claire Kiss

A MONDAT:

Az Igazgatótanács kérésének eleget téve mindenekelőtt körvonalaznám a hangyák territoriális és klíma-specifikus viselkedésére vonatkozó kísérleteim gyakorlati hasznát.

A SZÓKINCS, persze tanári irányítással (is):

Igazgatótanács – __________________
Mindenekelőtt –__________________; __________________;
Körvonalazni –______________; _______________; __________________; adumbrate
Territoriális – __________________
Klíma-specifikus – __________________
Kísérlet – __________________
Gyakorlati haszon – __________________

A fordítás:

:DDD

SUSAN HIRES BOB TO RUN HER BUSINESS

Susan stays up all night thinking about her cookie business. In the morning, she discusses it with Bob. Bob agrees to work for her.

Bob: You're up bright and early this morning, Susan.
Susan: I didn't sleep a wink. I was awake all night thinking about the new business.
Bob: Running your own business is lots of work. Are you prepared to work like a dog?
Susan: No. But I am prepared to hire you to run the business.
Bob: You want me to run a cookie business? Fat chance!
Susan: Why not?
Bob: I don't have a clue about making cookies. I don't even know how to turn the oven on!
Susan: I'll give you a crash course.
Bob: Do I have to do the baking?
Susan: No. You'll just manage the business side.
Bob: Needless to say, I have mixed feelings about working for you.
Susan: I'll be nice. I promise you'll be a happy camper.
Bob: Okay. Let's give it a shot, boss!

10 Funniest Interview Questions

SAN FRANCISCO --"If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?" "Do you enjoy long, stressful hours?" "What shoe do you tie first?"
Huh?
Chances are, if you've ever been in a job interview, you've been asked a question that's funny, inappropriate, or just plain bizarre. Technology professionals are no exception to this experience. Techies.com, an online career resource, recently asked "What's the funniest question you've ever been asked in a job interview?"
The top 10 funniest questions reported by bayarea.techies.com members are:

  • 1. "Will your girlfriend give you strife if we send you on a business trip to Bangkok for two years?"
  • 2. "Working here is a lot like being on LSD. Know what I mean?"
  • 3. "Come in. Sit down. Would you like some sushi?"
  • 4. "What's a nice girl like you doing in metallurgical engineering?"
  • 5. "What can I do to convince you to join the Dark Side?"
  • 6. "You code and manage. You've answered every answer correctly. Can you tell me what is wrong with you?"
  • 7. "How does it make you feel knowing I hold your destiny in my hands?"
  • 8. "Doesn't that nose piercing hurt?"
  • 9. "How the hell do you left-click a round mouse?"
  • 10. "Single people work more. Are you single?"

"The technology sector is so hot right now that tech professionals are starting a new job every 13 months," said Doug Berg, co-founder and Chief Techie of techies.com. "That's a lot of job interviews. Add that to the fact that quite often the interviewee knows more about the skills and the job than the interviewer, you have lots of fodder for some really weird questions."

Bob: That was so nice of you, dear. You've got a heart of gold!

Nicole: Yum-yum.* These are out of this world. You could go into business selling these!

You'd make a bundle.
Susan: Good thinking!

Susan: You know I always give credit where credit is due!
